These
pages follow closely my efforts in building the Replicas Unlimited
23" Space 1999 Eagle Transporter purchased from
Federation
Models. I had read some of the other write-ups on
this kit, like those of
E.
James Small and John
Lester, and they gave me the inspiration to
attempt it (and the fact that I've always wanted a BIG Eagle!). I'm
not an experienced modeller - not by a long shot. In fact, the
last thing I built was a styrene 1/48 scale A10 Thunderbolt way back
in 1984!

| The
following pages detail the construction of this resin kit from a
novices' point of view and will hopefully encourage others
to build one for themselves |
 |
| I
built this Space 1999 Eagle Transporter for me and me only. I
was more concerned with the finish and weathering than I was with
technical accuracy. That said, I aimed to make it as accurate
as I could. In fact, I used most of Small Art Works'
aluminium
accessories and a couple of other 'specials' which are
revealed later to enhance the realism just that little bit more |

| These
pages are quite image intensive...sorry to those dial-up users among
us. For those interested, the photos were taken on a Nikon D1H
/ D1X digital SLR camera with a shoe-mounted SB-80 DX Flashgun. The
imaging software used was CorelDRAW
Graphics Suite and the web pages were authored with an ancient copy
of HoTMetaL 4.0 |

the end of each page you'll find the 'Red Alert' logo - click on it
