A bird of a different feather…
Since many of you here are also airplane enthusiasts and collectors (like one of our Deputy Commanders ;) ), I’ve decided to show you one of my latest acquisitions, the extremely rare 1/400 Blue Box L1011 TAP "Fernando Pessoa" (old colours).
Lockheed’s Tristar series is one of my favourite wide-bodies ever built, a close 2nd after the B747.
As a side note, the shown GSE (ground service equipment) is a mix of Herpa and Gemini Jets.
More pics soon…enjoy!
Jorge :)

Nice looking craft, and I still love the airport display; what a great way to give a sense of scale & 'real-worldness.'

I don't know if it's just me, but only 3 of the pics are showing up. Link problems?

Thank you very much guys! :)

You're right CR…it seems ImageShack is experiencing some problems (again!), hopefully the missing pics will be up-and-running again. I’ll keep a close-eye on this as I hate posts with broken image links.

In the meantime, here are some pics that I’ve just posted on DAC (die-cast aircraft forum). These show another rarity, this time within the 1/500 scale: a B707 TAP Cargo old colours.

Static models on shelves never did much to me thus why I prefer to see them in a more dramatic setting such as an airport diorama. I’m waiting for a nice big airport tarmac diorama that should arrive soon from San Diego (see link)…looks very promising!
