Bernie, where are you?????

I've been trying to contact Bernie for several months now, but he's not replying to PMs (or emails, or Facebook friend requests...)

He does not seem to have been active on the forums for several months either, and it's now urgent that I get in touch with him.

Does anyone know what's going on? Have his health problems returned?

Owen

Hmmm... I last heard from him back in May, when he promised to send out my long-delayed UFO kit by the end of the month. Since then there has been no sign of the kit, and no reply to my messages. Chris (Karr1981) isn't talking either...

He is living in a cave in Southern Ecuador
near Garambino on the Hoolagi Peninsula

TeamDavros 03-09-2014 02:54 PM

I can well believe that. :(

Hi Folks,

I am back in the room.....
Yes I've been ill and no I don't want to talk about it.

Hi Owen,

I have your kit here and can ship it or refund as you wish. I am very sorry for the absence a lot has happened in between, I'll PM or email you later.

Sorry that I have been away so long, I tried to log in periodically but it was very difficult. It was great to see some of you at Cosford, I talked to as many as I could there. I'm afraid it knocked the stuffing out of me quite a bit and I had to leave relatively early after the wife drove up from Bristol, in fact she delivered me there also, I just wasn't well enough to drive myself.

Chris has just moved back to the UK and is settling in so with luck things will be getting back to normal around here.

By all means contact me via email, I will promise to answer as soon as I can. I have so much catching up to do but promise that I will log in everyday to be as responsive as I can.

Model and prop reproduction has always been a hobby for me and something I do for fun. However like most people I have a professional life too, with the bad economy and health issues I have really struggled and had to pay more attention to making a living. This situation has more or less resolved now and I can happily get back to what I love.

The forum runs quite happily as long as it is funded and the software is serviced, think of it more as a framework place to meet and play.

It was great to meet you and the other members at Cosford, it really lifted my spirits and was a real tonic. Thanks for taking the time to socialise and chat. I'll chat and catch up away from this thread mate.

I hope it's OK with you Owen, I want to put any further posts about your model updates in the Ufo model help thread to keep things tidy. I have decided to add a radio controlled switch in stead of the dome activated microswitch and want to explain how this works to everyone as I am sure it could be useful to others.
