Default New Replicas Unlimited HAWK!

Federation Models (http://www.federationmodels.com) had a new kit from Replicas Unlimited - a Mark IX Hawk in scale with their Eagle kit. From what I saw it's a very nice kit - good symetry and details, and fine casting. I don't believe it's up on their website yet, but I'll try to dig up more information.

I didn't buy it because I got myself one of their Eagles, a kit I've wanted for ages. And I'll have to say, the castings on that kit were superb.

Cheers!

But is it really in scale. Length is quoted as 20". Is that still not a big big to be in scale with a 23" Eagle?

Also it looks like you have to hollow out the CM as per the AB kit?

I'm not certain what the canonical size of the Hawk is supposed to be. When I looked at the kit it looked sufficiently smaller than the 23" Eagle to work out fine in my mind.

As to the cockpit, yes it is solid and would have to be hollowed out if you wished to put in cockpit detail. That didn't even occur to me when I saw it as I would probably be just as likely to keep it solid with no cockpit detail.
