BBC Television Centre up for sale !!!

I've heard rumours about this for the last few years, but sadly now it seems reality

When you think of all the history that has happened there, it seems a crime to sell it now to the highest bidder.
I know certain parts of it are "listed", the classic doughnut and other bits.
But it just won't be the same...

Interestingly "The BBC said the main aim of the Television Centre sale, first announced in 2007, was to maximise the site's value to the BBC and licence fee payers." well I look forward to my cut of the sale as a licence fee payer..... hehe

Very sad news and a very bad political decision. The amount of money it has cost licence fee payers to build new studios in Glasgow and Salford would have kept TVC going for many years, not to mention the 20 million quid paid for the rights to produce "the Voice" and that's 20 million paid before a single penny has been spent on the actual production.
The BBC will not survive in it's present form because the people in charge insist on trying to compete and outdo commercial television, this is madness and not what the BBC is. Have some balls BBC, stop copying and get back to creating like you used to do.

I agree,any nation hasn't to admit the losing of their symbols(this goes for the BBC too).I don't see the French sellnig the Eiffel tower.Or us in Barcelona,Catalonia selling the Sacred Family basilic.A pity,I grieve with you.

Square in the mounth,Glazy!.This musical group,besides being very good musicians seem to be possesor a sithx sense of anticipation.This is made in 1995!.And even the sharkfins of the privates are adjusted to what seems to be about to happen to the unlucky passenger and crew of the BBC boat.
