Hi all,
I had purchased a couple of Shado 2's off the bay, but they weren't in the best of conditions, so this week I decided to give them a make over, they came with no missiles and only one had 1 track, but managed to sort something out, plus, the re-spray isn't standard... Here's some photos from start to finish, I forgot to take a couple of them before sorry...: - Stripped... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Primed... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Base-coat... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Top Coat (a break from the norm)... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All finished and re-built... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Laser Cannons... ![]() New Tracks... ![]() Miscellaneous... For the tracks I used some non slip mat, then super glued them... ![]() The Laser Cannons I used a couple of paint brush tip protectors, I sanded, primed and then painted them black... ![]() ![]() My little Workstation... ![]() Many thanks for looking, it's also the first time I have used an Air-Brush, please let me know what you think (good & bad)... Andy... |

Yea, the tracks are a stroke of genius. Take two pats on the back out of petty cash before going 'ome mate.

Andy, love the approach. Very german WW2 panzer feel to colours. I think they look very good in camo. Nice job. Very inventive on the tracks.
Just about to have a go with my airbrush too! Paint job looks good to me, hope it works for me too! Just done a Dinky Mobile too and put on forum. Let me know what you think. Just finishing up a UFO Interceptor, Dinky too so will be posting shots soon. |

Many thanks for the kind remarks...
Forza, I had no idea what I was doing, never used an Airbrush before, as for the paint scheme, I just added a bit of colour here and there and then blew a light coat of the base green over them to dull it down, then added a couple of coats of matt varnish to finish it off... Once again, many thanks for all your kind remarks... Andy... |

Great refurb
Those tracks are ace - but look as if they are set up for snow- what about a winter camo? or even a desert camo. Oops just set up a thought for a new project.... |

If Dinky had seen yours, they'd ALL be camo!
I need to get back to my blue ones! I6

This is a nice little project.Take something simple and give it your own personal makeover. And I agree a nice bit of invention with the tracks.
My only gripe, and this is no reflection on what you have done,is the colour scheme.I'm a bit of a purest you see. Who knows maybe they'll use your camo scheme in the new movie. Much enjoyed. |
