Hi all,
I'm new here so please excuse the potentially stupid question Are there any forthcoming event where I could see one or more original eagles and maybe take a few photos please. Thanks, Ian |

That's a difficult question to answer actually, the Eagles are in private collectors hands and hardly get shown anywhere, you might get lucky who knows?
If it's just images you are after, that I might be able to help you with? Anyone have any Eagle Meet images they can share? I screwed up my collection and mixed them in with images I don't own in error so now I don't know what I can publish or not. If you are looking to build a model of your own then there is a set of drawings made for the first two Eagles available from Daniel Prud'homme, google him, they will cost you about £50 for a set You could also stop at Martin Willey's site: http://www.space1999.net/catacombs/ Martin owns a good many of the original models, he has an original 22" Eagle and many other props. When I get back to work I will trawl my archive and publish what I know is mine. |

I just checked over the site for Alpha 2012 in Burbank, California (September 14-16). It appears that most of the surviving stars of the show will be appearing, subject to availability. Alas, no mention of any original Eagles making their way there...

Eagles 1 & 2 reside here in the UK so are unlikely to be flying the Atlantic to be shown there I would have thought.
Eagle 3 is in Canada, but I have no idea whether its present owner has been approached to make it (and the rest of his extensive 1999 collection) available for the convention.

The original 44" Eagle 1 model was recently on public display at the 'BritSciFi' event this month in Leicester. It will be on display again at Mat Irvines 'Smallspace' event on July 1st (visit his website for details) and will then be on display in September at the Norwich SciFi convention, 'NOR-CON'.
