Default Zombite HD screengrabs

Adama has kindly done these for us, should be a great help to anyone building a replica

the black gantry part hanging up looks like the chassis from the amt silhouette, also used on the firefly

quick placing together of the bits for the launch ramp, airfix girder bridge, srn1 and signal gantry, they may have cut the centre of the srn1 away to let the girder bridge base sit on it?

does anyone know what the 2 long pieces on top of the zombite/f104 are?

edit, just realised theyre tanks from the f-104 kit

checked tobors site

not doubting tobors research, just want to be quite sure.

are we quite sure there was no other 1/48 f-104 starfighter available at the time other than the hawk and lindberg kits?

the revell and monogram being either the wrong scale or released later and is this the same kit as the 60s one?

cheers

Default Silver hose

That silver hose type tube really looks to be the same material used on Thunderbird 5 and the gold screen box reminds me of an amplifier tube cover from an old amplifier my brother owned in the late 1960's (Leak 20 mono block?)

The brass looking charging stations are in the T3 hanger also. They are another part that look familiar and it looks like car hubs stuck on the top.
I agree about the "tubing" Mike is looking for is some kind of ducting hose.

thats good to know.

However that being the case, I would like to see the decals from a 60s kit to see if it was used anywhere.

still a few little decals Im looking for.

does anyone have a shot of the original 60s lindberg f-104 decal sheet? and while were at it the 1960s lindberg 1/48 saab draken kit ie red arrow.

Car parts perhaps?- they were raiding Woolworths, who's to say they didn't raid local garages, plumbing suppliers and Electrical stores?

Default Zombites sized....

I do like the colour scheme of these models, One each of Red, Yellow and Green, notice the stripes both on the wings and around the fuselage just behind the cockpit. Little details like that tell me a lot about the model making team who built them.

Excellent images, thanks Adama

Would that Lindenberg Starfighter be used for all starfighter-based models?
