Default New 'old' commlock

(Sorry if this is old news for some of you -- this was in Taybor's Domain for sale, but I've moved it here to archive it as a finished project instead.)

I've just finished this commlock -- it's built and aged to look like a decades-old vintage commlock prop from the show, circa "Collision Course".

Nothing factory-new about this one! It's made of old wood (40 years plus) and shows carefully-applied signs of handling and wear. The details are all stickers; the Letraset rubdowns and other minutiae have been faithfully reproduced. Helena's picture is a photograph, cut and pasted onto the ID section (just like on the originals). The clip is solid aluminum. Of interest, the body (the three main sections plus the antenna) is made entirely of one continuous piece of wood.

The pictures, as always, hide the weathering. It looks, feels, and even smells old, as though it was used for a couple of episodes and then stored away for years.
