Evening people
Is there a good match around in Auto / Rattle cans which would match the PE Mobiles colour, had a look at the local auto shop..Ford appear to be the closest car make, just wondered if anyone had done the job to good effect and colour match I have removed the dirt wash with a mix of Acetone in Meths to a good finish, but the wheels are a bu%%er to do even with cotton buds !!. Any help would be most welcome Cheers again..Ian "eagle44". ps, I know it may not be correct to the original studio models colour, just want to sort out the PE version as is. -------------------------------- |

I used an AU paint which I can even remember the name of. I wasn't close enough and needed lots of silver and white and other washing. When I cleaned Mobiles up I left the wheels dirty as I thought that was probably reasonable as far as weathering goes. The wheels are plastic so don't use that mixture of yours on it... it will eat them up.

Thankyou "Bishop"
Funnily enough the Meths / Acetone mixture is such that when trying on the inside edge of the wheel I can get the dirt off, it's just very time consuming, and it only bites into the paint if continually rubbed. As this is a spare SHADO2 i'm happy to try it out, but if it were my only one i'd be leaving it well alone, still annoyed that the three still don't match, the revised examples are fine but the original..and still available S2..is lightly weathered all over Will post a few pics when it's done. Cheers for now..Ian "eagle44" --------------------------------- |
