if you look at the second picture david posted, you can see the white substance pouring off one of the bricks.
if it where a plaster it wouldnt do that and would stick in clumps as the bricks where moved and wouldnt look very realistic

Default studio size models

how about starting a size, dimention page on all filming minitures for instance the true size of TB1 was it 14 inces long ? how big was TB4 you get the picture

Good idea, but you'd have to take into account the different scale versions of the models used - most of the main Thunderbirds vehicles were produced in a variety of sizes to meet different filming requirements.
