Speaking of close air support: there's talk of an OV-10 comeback.

Well, I got my two TSR-2s today and man these are nice kits! I especially like the box art. It isn't busy or cluttered, but it doesn't have to be. It just shows a TSR-2 doing what it was designed to do, flying fast.

Post some pictures of the kits if you can, it would be great to see what they're like after all this discussion.

Just came across this, its some footage of the test flights of XR219 flown by Roland Beaumont.
It shows off the unusual angle the undercarriage adopted when not under load. This was the cause of more than one problem when this got "stuck" in the unloaded position in flight. At one time I believe Beaumont had to literally drop the aircraft onto the runway in oder to break the lock.

I clicked on one of the TSR-2 video links at the conclusion of the above video and it talked about some of the other proposals for the aircraft requirement that eventually became the TSR-2. One of them was very "Andersonesque" in terms of how they were going to make the thing capable of short field takeoff and landing (and I am glad they never built it as it was an accident waiting to happen).
