Fed up with working out how to attach the wheels to the Mobile Chassis, I've recently built the 'piggy back' fighter from Thunderbirds - 'The Duchess Assignment', modified from an F104 with F101 wings. I'm just waiting for decal sheets from Hannants so I can make my own markings. Then, I have to build the Carrier Craft
How about this small scale version, in approx 1/300th scale......

!/300 is ok, but I prefer 1/72 so that it can be incorporated in a much larger project:

Oh yes I remember seeing your Farnborough 2066 at Fanderson in Coventry.

The one we did needed to be of a smaller scale as the guy it was built for had quite severe space limitations and 1/72nd would not have been possible for him to store let alone display.

No Anderson stuff on the bench right now - just a Trek kitbash or two and something for the SFM:UK competition (which may count as Anderson-related as I'm basing the shape on something familiar ...).

Have plans for something before my resin goes off though, just a matter of having the workspace ...

MkIX

I built the Wombat a few years back and wrote an article for the IPMS magazine. Can't specifically remember, but I think I had some dimensions which you are welcome to if that would help.

Sorry folks, but my memory was playing me tricks in that the article didn't include dimensions. Was sure I had done some, but if I did, they didn't get printed.

Instead I'll try and get some dimensions taken over the weekend.

As promised some dimensions for the Wombat. Scale is 1/144 and all the dimensions quoted in cm. Sorry it is a bit rough and ready but hopefully it will be of some use. The fan jets were made from KC-135 engines with a toroidal outer ring. I can't remember just how accurate dimension wise these are. Also you will see that the poor thing is getting a bit past it's sell by date with some of the filler parting company from the plastic. One day I will strip it,, fix that and repaint it all.
