Default PE 23" Eagle confirmed release date.

December 12th is the new official release date for the 23" PE Eagle. Other PE Gerry Anderson model news....

The Captain Scarlet SPV is released on December 12th as well,

The replacement Shado 2 Mobiles, (unweathered version), are now out on November 10th. No replacement for Shado Control and Shado 1 as PE have too much stock to warrant ordering more units, apparently the Mobiles have not sold as many units as expected, I wonder why that is then.

Perhaps they'll start selling them discounted then...

Then I can afford to buy another couple to strip and re-finish myself...

Just got to get some decals for them first though...

Has everyone seen this picture of the PE SPV on Hobby Link Japan.

I'm not sure I like the cut-out in the door, which I presume is the button to open it.
It looks very good otherwise.

Fine engraved panel lines wiped over with a bit of black would have done it. The body somehow looks a little too unfinished/smooth. Like the wheels and tracks though.

Works for me. After all 'tis only a 'toy'.

Now just where are all the pre-orders on eBay?....

Not too bad I suppose, but it could have been a bit better IMO, but it will do unless something better comes along. Mark, not sure about your comment on them being sold as 'toys' though, these models are marketed as collectible pieces and to me the price is well over what you would expect to pay for a 'toy'.

All in all as 'toys' to me they rather exceed expectations, however as collectible pieces IMO they could really be a little bit better, its not as though PE do not have the experience now, after all the Stingray, Supercar and Fireball all look OK, not 100% but damn near close enough.

Non of that will stop me from buying them though and all the PE Gerry Anderson vehicles will all be proudly displayed on my shelves, bloody big kid that I am.

And the other thing, me getting all of these is driving my missus nuts too, so all in all no losers then.

She just doesn't understand...

Wait until I bring the 23" home...
