Default 2010: Blu-ray

A quick heads up, 2010 is slated for Blu-ray release on April 7.

Watched that (again) about 3 weeks ago and was wondering at the time how long I'd have to wait for it to hit Blu-ray. A great film.

Agreed. I doubt we'll be getting blue ray for a good long time though.

I picked it up on the 7th. Very nice picture. Sound was a little hollow at times. I haven't sen my dvd copy in a bit but I think they added some fx for the airbraking sequence and background space plates seem to be more starry.

The release date out the other side of the pond ran ahead of the European one, the release date here is the 20th.

Picked it up the other day and watched it last night. The Blu Ray is a huge improvement on the old DVD release, which was not even anamorphic. Thanks for the heads-up, Marty!

Only $15 here at Walmart. Picked it up a couple of days ago but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Sounds like I'm in for a treat.
