Default Custom FN-FAL Para 'Congo'

Here's an airsoft para carbine that I modified with viynl heat wrap thats normaly used to redeck car dashboards. I used rosewood and I think it came out very well considering its my first time using the stuff. Its made by King Arms and is made of metal just like the real one. Shoots 6mm BB's on fullauto or semi-auto. Some of you UK members may have been issued the L1A1 version while in the service. In Australia it would have been made by Lithgow.

That's very clever stuff, looks like hours of work on custom wood pieces rather than vinyl. How big was the original ammo for one of these? Looks almost SLR size... 7.62

Yup, the real deal in Australia and UK is the SLR (Self Loading rifle) and shoots 7.62x51.

I've fired the SLR while part of the Air Training Corps and got my Cadet Marksmans badge on it. I loved firing that rifle.

Want to hear something mad? The British forces at the Falklands captured large numbers of Argentinian FN-FALS, basically the auto versions of this weapon including the folding stock Para carbines. Instead of putting them into service at least in a limited way, they were told to throw them overboard on the return trip.

I know some of them might not have been in the best of conditions, but still....

You need to fire a real rile with real bullets. The FAL is a really good rifle and you have a nice replica.

I have fired real rifles and I have fired the real FAL. I had an FFL back in 1988-89 so I was able to buy rifles wholesale for myself and my friends. Iv'e owned at one time or another 4 Norinco AKS's (chinese AK47), an AR15 full size and CAR15, H&K91, Steyr Aug, H&K94, Ruger 10/22, S&W model 27 .357 magnum, Tz75 auto. 9mm, Springfield 03A3 .30-06, etc, etc.
I have the airsoft rifles because they are super cheap to feed and I can't get arrested for having an unregistered fully automatic weapon. Legal full auto is way to expensive. The cost of legal machine guns has skyrocketed since 1986 when the ban was put in place for future manufacture. The ones that are preban can still be bought and sold legaly after paying a $200 tax, get fingerprinted and a sign off by the local police chief. I live in Florida where anything goes. Full auto is OK as well as a catagory called 'any other weapon' which costs $5 for the transfer of sawed off shotguns, pen guns, etc. One can also have SBR's ( short barreled rifle). after paying the tax transfer. $150 gets you a concealed weapons permit! Not all states allow machine guns and some states like California don't allow assault rifles or magazines over 10 rounds.

You are so lucky that you had an FFL.That is something I have been coveting for years. In California, to get a concealed carry permit is practically impossible. You have to be politically well connected to get one. Senator Dianne Feinstein has one, and never publically admits to it because how she received hers. You are so lucky that you live in Florida.. Only 31 states in the Union have very easy concealed carry. There is this place in Nevada where you can go full automatic. Its a little expensive though to use their course. Of course, you have your military bases. That is where I learned to use the M-16 and the M-14. I own a M-1A which is the civilian variant to the M-14, I have a Russian SKS and a Russian Mosin Nagant. I happen to like the Lee Enfield rifle very much which I bought from a friend. Its a very good infantry man's weapon. Most of the weapons you have listed up there are banned here in California. There is a degree of a negative attitude for gun owners in California.
