Well then if time space money and wife not murdering me because of it, is no object Then a full size 96 foot long replica of eagle #5 outside and make the inside fit as best as possible . Working lights doors switches thrusters (spray fog I guess) with a working moon buggy. Several stocked space suits uniforms comlocks stun guns and a working computer monitor in the cabin and cockpit. Then have it housed in a building to be made up to look like Alpha's hangar, with enough room to build a Millennium Falcon, Starbug, 2001 moon Bus, UFO Moon Mobile, Lost in Space Chariot (working) Alien's Drop Ship and Lone Star's Eagle 5 Winabago (this one would actually drive with the wings off)

Heck this would make a nice museum

Aside from the obvious (life-size fully working one) I'd also like a model with sound effects and voices. Just imagine all the classic lines that could be included...

"Eagle One to Moonbase Alpha, we're out of control!"

"Eagle Two not responding! The ship's falling apart!"

"Do something Alpha, for God's sake do something!"

"Doesn't anything function on this base?"

"Crash! Thud! Boom!" etc.

Certainly a life-size, fully functional Eagle, with full flight manual on the seat, and standard, winch, and pallet pods just so I could give Britain a boost into space.

And if we are talking custom pods, Paul, the Boudoir pod, as most of the women I know would jump at the chance of joining the "1,000 mile high" club!

Other than that, I will settle for the 44" replica I have planned

A 44" Eagle made with the same methods and materials (or as close as possible) of the original. However, money in reality, is an object. So a 22" model with authentic construction and materials would be my realistic choice and even that would probably be out of financial reach!

Default Full on-

Yeah-

1:1 is all the go-

having put a lot of time and thought into many build up's of various Eagles, I given some consideration to the 'real' mechanics of how one would actually work-
The anti-grav/field generators would be located within each 'shoulder pods'-
The remaining avionics and associated hardware would be relatively inexpensive, and pretty straight foward- spine/cockpit/boosters-all straight forward 20th century mechanics-

Could all be sub-contracted out and assembled 'modular style' as per standardised automotive production techniques-

The field generators are the issue- sourcing reliable, operational units- pre assembled & tested,-
these would be required to 'lift' the Eagle to a max of 80% of the crafts actual weight- this would allow for a very efficent solid-'on board' fuel utilisation
If those generators where available-

Maybe "Buell/ Harley Davidson" could help with these ??

I'd like a real one but obviously as that ain't goin ta happen I'd like a plastic [ or diecast metal and plastic ] 23/24 inch version with cockpit interior and pod interior with tinted windows on the pod and clear windows on the cockpit.

It was his barn actually...
I knew him back in the 80's, he made home movies and made a scratch built 44" Eagle from balsa, wooden dows, solo coffee cups for the engine bells.
He even added port and starboard running lights.

He also had many original props from the show but the last i heard, he sold them even his barn.

Well, if it's of our dreams...

A full LIFE-SIZE transporter eagle, fully detailed interior. And it can fly.

I would fly all day and all night... Nearly anyway. You need somewhere to sleep, don't you?
