[quote=Eagletransporter;117747]Here’s my latest addition to the fleet (another rare eBay gem!)...a gorgeous heavily-upgraded MPC 12” Eagle that was subjected to the following mods:

- The top framework width has been corrected;
- The cages have been opened up;
- The landing gear has been copied from a Warp kit using a mold and the landing gear is removable;
- The landing gear from the passenger pod has also been copied from the above kit in the same manner;
- The passenger pod itself has been attached in the traditional 2 screw method;
- This Eagle has been painted and weathered, with decals from Griffin Games and various small details have been put on with kit bits.

Very beautiful work indeed....

Gumdrop and Spider, Bishop and trealex, thank you all for you for your nice comments.
Here’s a last shot of this beauty and also a photo of the modeler himself, Theo Pingarelli seen here with Tea Leoni (in “Manure”). Theo is a Hollywood cameraman who worked in many movies/TV series like the "Astronaut Farmer", "Big Love" etc… He’s obviously also a fan of Space: 1999 and a very talented modeller!

Now that is an amazing shot; the angle, lighting, subject, revealed detail, etc

Looks right of Season Three!

Well done

Thank you very much Keith!

About the modelling...the Meta and Transporter Eagles seen in these last pics are Jim Small custom models (mix of Warp and some of his own casted parts). These have sadly become very rare models since Jim no longer produce them.
Starcruiser is an Alfred Wong buildup job…I have a 2nd in the works that will feature a rescue theme a la rescue Eagle.

Photography…well, that part is all mine . Absolutely no fancy technique is used (something rather obvious to the eyes of most). Background is a simple black cardboard…models are either standing on their engines or laying on their sides…daylight is a must…and the finishing is courtesy of Paint Shop Pro 7.

The best part?...to be able to share these with you all!
