Progress update on the Snow Speeder.

This is one of those models where the smallest part can take the longest time to build...

Just gotta find a way of shoe horning all of those fibre optics and electronics into the damn thing...

Also debating about having figures in the thing. If they aren't done right, they can ruin the whole effort and one thing I am no good at is making figures.

Thanks guys, although disaster last night.

Gave the underside a quick blast of filler primer, just so I could mark the perspex easier, without realising that fibre optics don't like spray paint...

Those things pinged off, broke in pieces and generally snapped faster that the suspension cables on the Arlingam Bridge...!

You won't believe how pi**ed off I was!

All in all, I need to replace most of them!

I have been on and off of this project for a while now and finally yesterday was able to give it a coat of paint and the 'first pass' of weathering (much more to go yet!)...

Excuse the quality of the pic, just this minute took it in my workshop with no flash.

The electronics are for the LEDs which light up the fibre optics. There are 20 LEDs powered through 2 'sequencer' circuits (light chasers) so that they blink on and off.

Ok, had a huge break from this thing - hit some snags and couldn't get back into it! Forced myself this weekend and just popped into the workshop to take some quick snaps. That's it - apart from pilot, etc...

Cross that one off the list...

Default My guess is.....

I don't mean to be picky but...

It's a bit squat for a Dalek.... and it's the wrong colour...and I am sure one of those arms needs the sucker thingy... and where is the eye?

Oh wait a minute.... it's not a Dalek is it?

Nice Job on the Battlestar Galactica!!!!

I am hopeless at guessing.

Dave that has turned out beautifully. Are you going to model a crew or do you have figures in mind that you could use with a little painting?

Astonishing attention to detail I love that low angle in your BTS - be worth refining when it comes to your beauty shots
