I think the central detail may be several pieces, the two 'wings' looking like they are chrome exhausts from a hot-rod kit of some sort - sorry I can't specify the car but the sort that come out the side of the car just behind the front wheels. The central part may therefore be an engine part from the same kit.

Hope that helps.
Revell in the past would sale car part packs in 1/25 scale in the 60's, plus AMT kits 3 in 1 cars where some parts mite come from, plus some car kit like Jo- Han and more?

Don't know how to do Sprue Casting but I've sent you a PM. You going to send the original kit or just some of the parts?

49 Years later, to see LEGO's 100th anniversary.

Sorry that was a bit random.

I'll be 61. Anyway...

Got a model boat today, an aircraft carrier, looks old. Maybe used in "The Imposters"?

I just had a glimpse at the Imposters again. The Carrier reminds me of one of the very old carriers from the thirties and forties, the type that had no island (the tower) because it was under the deck. The island on this deck looks like the bridge of the Sentinel from Terror in New York.
Other notes on on The Imposters- The 6 wheeled army trucks (some have radar) were later used in the Captain Scarlet episode 'Point 783' as target practice for the Unitron Tank. The markings on the World Navy jets are a mix of USAAF and West German Air Force decals. The Airsea rescue aircraft are comprised of Starfighter, B-58 and Phantom parts.

George,

if your interested I have a set of chrome Kaven aeroplane wheels which I dont need,

they are 2 inch rather than 21/2 inch as I bought the wrong ones by mistake.

if your making a smaller scale than studio scale one they may be of use?

Sorry Mike, but I'm building a studio scale model but thanks for the offer.

George

PS. Just taken a much needed Holiday so that's why I haven't been online for a while.

Update: Going to start work on it this week, probably made out of balsa or MDF. Paint-Dunno, some form of yellow. Then dirty it down. I'll probably get myself more dirty than the fire engine...

Mike, are the parts at the back airfix crane parts? I need a confirmation on that.

UPDATE: Cheltenham College have decided that instead of the fire engine I will be doing a mobile instead. And it can't be anything to do with Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, etc, 'cause it's got to be either based on water, wind, architecture, wildlife or education (aka educatioinal-I could do space, but no machines )

I'll probably make a mini version of the airport fire engines at home or something...

A smaller, less detailed one of these would be good for my modelling skills perhaps one of the ambulance, too? Just get a white pickup and stick some bits on it...
