Another Recon Eagle... must be 15 or so I've bought now. Well over 20 in in total.

Lost count to be honest...

Dinky figured that the blues and greens would be more attractive to children and that they wouldn't care. How wrong they were! Even at 9 years of age, I wanted to strangle the makers.

You do know there's five Dinky Eagles to collect?...

Here's the first official thread on the PE23. It's a bit grey, but you'll like it alright. For the money, there's no better product.

That said, if you're a purist, it will drive you mad - it has a few 'niggles' to say the least. For the average Joe (or the completist, like me), she's great.

actually the fit on the cockpit where it mounts doesnt look as bad in those pics as i have seen in other pictures. but that was the prototype?

how is the fit with the production models? no open lines where you can
see into the cockpit at all i would hope?

and if i did get it, im not sure which one i want. the normal transporter
or the med ship?..... i think normal

i know there is several different dinky's out there but i dont know if i want
to waste my time on them mainly because of the colors. but they were
the first to ever make the eagle model and the prices on ebay show it.

I'd go for Recon - the Medical ship's stripes are very innacurate. It'd bug the hell out of me...

$595 USD is the typical price I think.

There's one on now at $575...

Aside: Look at all these weird folk bidding on a non-existant (never-issued) Eagle... http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQitemZ140040292502

Go on you know that you really really want to,

Get it out of your system and get your Eagle collection expanded and become infatuated with Eagles like many of us on here.

dont worry about me being infatuated, i have had a special place in my
heart for eagles my whole life.

like i have said before, out of all the sci-fi shows ever made, the eagle
is the only ship that looks like its 'man made' and could really fly!

It is true the PE 23" Rescue eagle is slightly inaccurate , the feet are a bit on the dark side and the stripes are to narrow (just like the 12") and it is very clear that PE modeled this on the Replicas unlimited 23" eagle but in my view i think they did a better job, because it is certainly more robust.
The working suspension is great and they throw in a display case !
Also the Rescue eagle is part of a 200 ship production run out of a total 1500 ships so it will be worth at least $5 dollars more than the standard version.
I can also state there is nothing more exciting than opening the parcell for the first time, the box is almost as exciting as the content!
I am seriously concidering purchasing a Standard PE23" eagle and converting it to a VIP version (i have gone VIP mad ).

BUY ONE BUY ONE , YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE!
