looking at some ofthe messages on here some of you have a downer on the IPMS, But the guys of Avon IPMS are great and a good sport and all the culbs that the show at Yate can see the funny side of some models on the culb stands.

Some IPMS members can be ass hole, but can,t we all at times?

Areteecee

I'll be there with the Edinburgh IPMS, though I'm liable to be wandering round taking photos

There's a model shop in Cardiff apparently Wookie. My Aunt says she saw it. I would liek to point out that I am not an IPMS member, but I go to an IPMS club, and i'm proud. My lot are really kind and excepting. They don't count rivets and they aren't usually too bad with paints and things, we value the hobby as a whole and we try our best to accomodate all skills and ages, i was 13 when I started (and to be fair i was utterly terrible) but under their guidance and advice i have improved a great deal. I think you had the bad side of the IPMS Hector. I have no complaints about them at all.
Have fun at the Nationals guys!

Chris

I've just been told I have to report for judging at 12.45 so I'm afraid I'm going to have to miss the Meet at 1pm. In previous years judging didn't start until about 2pm, but they want to open up the judging area around 3pm to the public so are doing it earlier.

Hope to bump into you and the others earlier in the day. I'll have Discovery, the Mars Lander and the Soyuz on the Edinburgh table if I'm not around.

Yet again I cannot go to Telford, although I do have a good excuse, as I will be going to Scotland on Friday.

Sigh maybe next time.

Hey Mike, if you get good at casting you can have the B-58 off me on loan for casting purposes? (be warned! almost none of the bits are on the original sprues!)

Preparing for tomorrow's show...I'll be leaving early and getting there between 10am and 11am. Meeting Rockwellcm for a brief 'exchange' at some point, and taking in the show generally - might bump in to some of you on the way around. Will meet up at 1pm and then adjourn to the local hostelry for a drink, food & a chat.

DX will you have some of the new run of 44" Eagle decals on you tomorrow, or is it too early yet ?

I'm also after some more of the angled brass for leg pod mounting - enough for another eagle - if you had any left over you're willing to sell...

See you all tomorrow.

Picking the decals up at the show. I better take a guillotine.

Unfortunately, all the angle ordered has been accounted for. It's not hard to source from a non ferrous metal supplier though.

Hmmmmm, I'm a member of a local club with over 40 members. Of which less than a third are IPMS members.
I don't have a problem with clubs or members, just a problem with the IPMS as a body.
I go to other shows and see the IPMS stand with it's unapproachable and uncooperative guy sitting there on his own all day.
I'm sure that you all had a great time at the 'Nats'. 'Me?' I'm going to the Model Rail Nat's on the 21st at the NEC. And hopefully looking at 'Wonderfest' at some point in the future.

Thanks for the tip Jade. I'm off to live in Glasgow for 8 months begining in January so I will take a good look around the place.
