Default 1/24 Revell Gemini

What the Frak!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...OIBUAA:US:1123

I'm after another Gemini for my Eagle build, so I've been the look out on ebay. Normally the sell for $30-50ish. The last one was an original from the 60's and went for #152, this is a reissue!!!

Crazy!

Bidding has finished, but one of the recommendations is a 1/24 Gemini with a BIN of $20!

So it is! Sorry to get anyone's hopes up!

Who would want an empty box? Must dig out all my empty boxes from the attic - I could make a fortune!

Sounds weird, but some people do collect boxes. I guess that most people chuck 'em in the bin once the model's built, or use 'em to store spare parts or something, making intact boxes somewhat rare. And you have to love some box art on some model kits, though nowdays one could just scan that into their computer, rather than hanging onto an entire box.

Still, I should see what (if anything) I could make money off of. I know I've got at least two of the old MPC Pilgrim Observer boxes, complete with the instruction & 'scientific' mission booklets & iron-on patch that came with the kits...

That price wasn't bad. I had to pay $190 a few months back. Every Gemini kit that came up whether it was 1/24 OR 1/48 was going for $150-180 range. I needed the Gemini, so I put in a huge bid and hoped it wouldn't get that high.
Cheers, Kevin

Hard to believe it but the History Maker reissue is now over 25 years old but that price, particularly for a crushed box, is mental. The most recent reissues can still be found a lot cheaper.

I've got a kit (not a Gemini) just in the bags. I'd pay for a box if I could find one (not that I'm really looking though)

I purchased a 1/24 Gemini last January at 57 ($95) and thought that was expensive.

I can't really remember to be exact, I think it's one of the apollo lander kits from the 60s

This kit is up for a reissue soon as part of Revell's classic range.
Either 2010/11?
