Google DVD43
It is a program which works around the region code problem.
If you have a DVD drive in your computer you can see other region films with it.

It's simple,it's the talents and the techniques of the artists and
the animators themselves that brings the magic of their CGI to
life.

What's wrong with the motion capture? Looked good to me.

Default NCS vehicles....

Hi Guys,

I didn't bond with the Rhino much either but I loved the Falcon aircraft. It was a pleasure to see them doing stuff that would have been impossible with models on wires. The design was excellent and the flying animation looked perfect. I will be adding that model to my build list at some stage.

Gerry's work is not the only place that CGI has had an impact. I have just started to use CAD software seriously in my hobby. It is very good for me because I have to make a dimensional plan and consider all parts of the build before I start. These were areas where I was weakest in scratch building for my own pleasure in the past. I have spent quite a while puzzling it all out but the effort is worthwhile. Eventually I will have a large set of data files I can refer to if I have a new idea or want to change something and check how it affects parts else where in the build. I can also change scale easily planning at 14" and found out it should be 16"? No problem, enlarge and print.

Another great thing is scaling parts from photographs. Projecting on to a wall and drawing around stuff is the old way. Just scan a photo, TV21 cover or whatever you have, find a known part, measure it and instant ruler, you can correct parallax and check dimensions of everything else as you go.

I am beginning to understand and like software and computers to make models, next steps for me is 3D to inspect a part before making anything. A long way to to go yet, but I can achieve useful output that helps me when I need it.

I know you can make CGI stuff and put it in any environment but its just not the same (For me anyway, but I'm sad anyway).
You wait until I have figured out a way to make my UFO model fly, I will take you on in the "sadness" stakes (and for a battle in the woods). Investigating electric brush-less motors, LIPO batteries and contra rotating props already. Next is working lasers RAWR!!

I must say, my opinion of NCS changed when I saw a clip on youtube of Scarlet flying a Lancaster Bomber! I watched a few episodes and decided that they arent all that bad. The new Angel craft are pretty nice. The SPC looked like it had an Audi air about it and the Rhino reminded me of a previous sci-fi tank (can't remember which one). 'Skybase' enjoyed a rather nice update and I actually quite like it. The russian tank thing looks cool as well, but I havent seen the episode yet.
