Default Space 1999 lives...

Don't know if anyone has seen this, but just caught up with the fourth series of 24 and take a look at what I spotted.




Episode 11 about 8 mins in...

The best thing i've seen similar to this was my robotwars entry, Orac, got onto an episode of the Sopranoes !!

THANK you Thank you for that. I'd asked the question along time ago about that here on this forum! I thought that was what I'd seen but it was so fleeting I thought I may have imagined it. But proof at last!

You're welcome. The production designers on 24 must have a thing for Gerry Anderson designs. In the second series President Palmer's desk was a copy of Jeff Tracy's red and steel desk from Thunderbirds. (Acknowledged in episode commentary on the DVD.)

Haven't spotted anything else, but will keep an eye out.

Also the opening credit sequences on the new Battlestar Galactica mimic Space 1999's "this episode" montage. He even give's the show credit in one of his episode commentaries. (At least that was what they did for the first season, I think it was removed for the second, but it may have returned for the third.)
