Default A little eagle project...

Since I'm new here I thought I might at least put up this build.

After many years of being with out an eagle in my collection and not being a fan of prebuilts I aquired this Imai kit of the web. Had I know what surprises lay in opening my 'great buy' I may have chosen a different path... I can and do expect that model makers do things to sell and profit from and in doing may not please the die hard fans but this kit... On the whole I'm no tech savy or hero model guru. So I've never been one to completly bash, rebuild or re-invent, having said that by the way I give full kudos to those that are and do. However this little kit was so dissapointing that I had to do something to it. The whole project was an on and off thing with a bit of frustration in the mix though there were some illuminating and educational moments with it. To save a displaying a stream of pics this is a link to the photo bucket page on it...

Cheers,

Wow, I've never seen that kit before but it looks like they modeled it on the Mattel Eagle. Especially the rows of tanks on top of the main body. Is it licensed? It looks like a knock-off!

Cheers!

Ah yes, the Imai...

I suppose if you're going to be inaccurate, you may as well be DEFINITIVELY inaccurate
Nice build, shame about the kit
