Might be worth looking in my local library to see if I can take out a copy, don't think it is worth actually buying - some time ago they had the individual episodes on the site and I gave them a go, but was astonished at how much it differed from the original. No Time Distort or "Standard by" speeds, everything was KPS - which meant sub-light to me and therefore you would be restricted to our own solar system.

In fact I might even try and see if you can still listen to them on the 'net first, save even a rental fee for a CD from the library, as I don't think they are worth anything from memory.

(Not trying to put you off, just thinking you ought to 'try before you buy' if at all possible.)

its a lot darker than the original...Blake is a terrorist from the beginning and we see him boobytrap an item that kills those chasing him.
Its not a lot like B7 from the 70's certainly but it has its moments..

So they have missed the point. Blake was never a terrorist, except in the propaganda and view of the Federation. Hmmm, how the world moves on in thirty years...

that might be unclear posting on my part...Blake is introduced in ep1 as a terrorist but he obviously is a force for good.He is much more ruthless than his tv predecessor ( or at least as far as I recall-I haven't seen the series for years). The audio remake are pretty entertaining and vastly superior to the Barry Letts eps from the late 90's.
I just think time has passed and the world has changed. Any new B7 would be different in tone..even the fan audio Logic of Empire with Paul Darrow as Avon is very different.
The only B7 that is very similar is the fan stuff with Gareth Thomas and Brian Croucher and that takes place between Blake leaving Liberator and becoming a bounty hunter. (belting listen but hard to find).
