Default I'm chasing Cutaway drawings for RR Merlin II

Hi crew,

I'm building up a 1:24 Airfix Spitfire 1a, for a mate of mine- and I need to access some free on-line technical drawings of the RR Merlin II, that was used in these great machines....

I'm going to build up EB-Q, R6885 of 41st Squadron, flown into the Battle of Britain.
(lost 5th Sept 1940 over the Thames estuary after engaging a flight of bombers, and escorts....)

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction, for Rolls Royce Merlin cutaways, and or Spitfire cutaways/technical drawings?

cheers.

Exactly what it claims to be. Probably the best book for modellers and it's not even a book designed for modellers. Page 74 and 75 have a large cutaway drawing of the Merlin 45 (virtually identical) but there are other pages of drawings and photos of various Spitfires in assorted states of service. It even points to the different thicknesses of aluminium used for which panel on the plane. Very, very highly recommended.
