Default accuracy

I had a good trawl online to see if I good find photo's from the show to compare. This kit, from what I can see-holding it in my hand-is accurate. When built up it looks great and is pretty weighty too. There were a few casting bubbles in mine when I got it,but nothing an experienced modeller couldnt fix given ten minutes and some milliput!
All that remains is the spray job,but a lot depends on the weather.
I spray in the garage and paints dont seem to like the cold.I discovered that last year when painting my seaview.....
Thankfully I was able to rub the wrinkles out and restart.Thats a great display piece when finished.

Eagle12 and Rockwellcm....I beleive that AquiLusa & Weaponsmith's topic of conversation is the ALLIANCE BUCK ROGERS STARFIGHTER.
Put me right if I'm wrong.

Well, I did say "I haven't gone back through the entire thread"... guess even just a few posts would have told me we were off subject. Perhaps my post will be of use to others.

Any idea if and when these side booster kits will be available for the PE 23".

I'd love to get my hands on at least two sets.

Thanks

I don't believe boosters for the 23" are even 'on the radar' yet.

I'll ask but don't hold your breath...

Default side boosters finished!

Yesss, the boosters are completed.Looking very good if I may say so myself!
Now-the problem.I've fitted them with magnets, but how do you dis-assemble the pod?

Now stop yer cryin and pay attention soldier!!

Carefully remove the engine bells from the bottom of the pod, twisting them as you ease them out....
VIOLA you see four screw heads....these hold the pod together and so need to be unscrewed, avoiding rounding the heads. Pull the top of the pod off.
Then install your magnets while checking the polarity against your boosters.
Reverse the procedure to put your pod back together. The bells should push fit back...if not a small touch of superglue will secure them.
Sorted.
