Smile GA references in The Times

Readers of the Times and Sunday Times have been treated to a positive glut (2) of GA references in the last two days.

1) In the 'In Gear Section' on Sunday Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame declares 'REST EASY, MYSTERONS - CAPAIN SCARLET IS IN THE DUMP TRUCK'
He's reviewing the BMW X1 which he doesn't like and makes reference to 'something called the sDrive. That sounds like the sort of system Captain Scarlet would have used to fight the Mysterons.'

2)Today what looks like a publicity still from Stingray to illustrate and article about females being allowed on US submarines. The byline is 'Finally, Aqua Marina finds herself a place in the US Navy'. Nice colour photo of Troy and Atlanta seated in Stingray with Marina just to left of Troy. Photo accredited to Popperfoto/Getty Images. So no for deranged.

mike Delamar, god your good. It was the second of the links you posted.

Excellent Scarlet photo as well.

Wish I could get photos to come up. My IT skills are limited to ETF and deleting emails.

I remember cutting out a London Times TV review in the late 1980s, when Captain Scarlet was being re-screened in the small hours as part of ITV's 'Night Network' Friday night/Saturday morning broadcasting. I will never forget it, the article described GA as "A dream-maker of uncondescending genius."
