Thumbs up That was FAB....

Hi Chris,

Congratulations on a superb piece of work.

I have watched it four times and discovered new things each time. The models were brilliant, first class effort.

Will you be doing a Space: 1999 theme adventure?

Chris,
You are an excellent director, to your cast(including you), crew, your costume designer girl friend
Rachel Smith and Shane Rimmer as Jeff Tracy(brilliant casting that you achieved) I salute you. This film might be short on length, but it is extremely long on content. In your fourteen minutes you have done more to continue the original Thunderbirds legacy. Chris your directing was suspense oriented, no scene was wasted. If Jonathan Frakes Thunderbirds 2004 movie had opened with the first fourteen minutes that you have created here, then it would have been a success like your Thunderbirds 2010 film. Director Chris Thompson FAB!

Steve

Fantastic job Chris, very well done, your 'fan film' puts the 2004 movie to shame.

Only just back from work an i must say this is a lovely reception to come back to, thanks sooo much for all your kind comments it is really encouraging. Ill be brining some free copies on dvd to the Fanderson con if anyone wants a better quality version

Turns out the film is 74th top favourited in the UK today as well :S If that dosnt show ITV that theres a burning desire for more Anderson stuff i don't know what will.

If this film continues to be successful we may make a sequel. Though im actually modelling an eagle right now so who knows, ive been watching Space 1999 on DVD for the first time since i was 10 and loving it. I appear to have built up quite a big collection of Anderson vehicles .

Great job, Chris! Thank you for sharing.
After having done several 3D-Animation projects I know from my own experience that you have a lot of work behind you. Of course we want to see how it all continues...

Chris,
I have to compliment the production design of your THUNDERBIRDS 2010 film. All of the Thunderbirds T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, Mole, FAB Rolls Royce(as you promised "no Ford") and Tracy Island(glimpses) as brilliant. The International Rescue uniforms worked out with costume designer girl friend Rachel Smith(as you proudly credited) are sharp looking. All these slight revisions are 100% complimentary of the original 1965-67 TV series, 1966 movie and 1968 movie...changed for the better not the worse as we saw in (yes, again) the Frakes 2004 movie mistakes. As I said, based on your fourteen minute THUNDERBIRDS 2010 film I know that your knowledge of the original Thunderbirds shines through as director.

cheers,
Steve

Default congratulations ChrisofEDF

Chris congratulations on your acknowledgment at Fanderson and with FAB issue#67 Gerry Anderson talks of THUNDERBIRDS remake in the 21st century. I have to believe he has seen your brilliant THUNDERBIRDS 2010 movie!

Chris your brilliant direction of THUNDERBIRDS 2010 movie proves that you will not be a director sent to 'movie jail'.

At the recent VegasCon 2010 Star Trek Convention Jonathan Frakes stated:
"Frakes told the crowd of thousands of Trekkies that he is in 'movie jail' following the Thunderbirds 'flop' in 2004, but that he is very busing directing for television."

I know this is a common practice in the industry with directors of failed movies, even though he did not have absolute power over the script or final edit cut for THUNDERBIRDS 2004 movie.
