Default Actual Flying UFO model, possible?

Happened across this tonight, then got to thinking, what if you stuck one of these (or used the same principal) inside a UFO model, you'd have a damn cool floating, spinning, flying UFO.

That looks interesting. I just wonder how one could spin the UFO without damaging it. (stabilizers breaking off...)

I bought one of these and always think this could be disguised as an UFO - only that it would be a bit delicat.
It is called microfly and is quite small. It can be more or less controlled with a remote control.

No reason I can think of this wouldn't work Knight, except that the UFO model surrounding the Levitron would have to be very precisley balanced.

Still been working away in the background on the TB2 mate. Skydiver is still locked in the ex wifes garage. Had a disaster with the TB2 lower cockpit windows and now both need replacing. I had used the packaging from an easter egg last time and its hard to find that in August ! lol. Resisted the temptation to start another model in the meantime (the UNCL Angel Interceptor) unlike your good self who has at least twenty models on the go at any one time Have also gathered lots of great reference for Cloudbase which may come to fruition at 1/3 scale once everything else is outa the way. Any news on the TB2 exhausts from the engineer btw ?

And just so I am still on topic....what size is that Levitron gadget ? It's a great idea that...just trying to think of a suitable UFO donor model.

It just has a propeller on the underside. The whole craft is very light and comparable to the micro helicopters.

The following Youtube link shows how it works:

I spoke to Dave the engineer last week he's been up to his eyeballs and under the weather, he said he'd call me with progress in a couple of weeks or so, remind me again mid Sept.

I get the impression from the video it might 'accomodate' the Konami if you sacrificed the core.
