Default R.I.P Sir Norman Wisdom

The second sad departure in a week, Sir Norman Wisdom passed away Monday evening.
Tears for a clown So many fond memories of his films. Condolences to his family.

I was lucky enough to meet Norman about twenty years ago, and share a 'Mr Grimsdale' moment with him. Very funny, another childhood hero of mine-rest in peace Sir Norm...........

Sad news indeed, however a very respectable innings of 95 years of age.

I used to see him pottering about from time to time. Met him (and filmed him) last year, one of his last appearances... He lived and died over here (Isle of Man) so it's pretty big news locally.

Echoing what someone said today "In a lifetime of making people laugh, this is the one and only time he made us feel sad".

This might tickle a few funny bones - shot at Norman's 90th birthday party. He took a big bite out of the cake, then started throwing it out to the audience.. Genius.

Default Happy days...

I grew up with this guys material making me laugh, more over I remember some of his sad and poignant moments of humanity that touched me. His joy of life and sunny disposition made him many fans all over the world, I count myself lucky enough to be one of them.

I am certain god made heaven with souls like Sir Norman in mind and invented laughter so we could show our fondness and admiration in return.
