Wow, I experienced the same situation, as a boy, in the 1970s too.

I bet there was a lot of that about, hopefully I will be commencing work on my Moon Bus kit in the not too distant future. I need to get those 28mm miniatures out of the way first, not to mention the Klaatu and Gort figures and Saturn 5 kit too.

I saw the scale listed as 1/55th, the overall length is around 9 to 10 inches.

It looks to be a nice kit, although I have not had anything out of the bag as of yet.

Thank you. Hard to tell from the pics. No bad but a bit smallish in my opinion.

I've seen these builtup and it has a nice size on the display shelf. It is not too small or too big IMHO. I'm going to start work on mine this weekend (probably stock) since I just managed to find a set of decals I acquired for it many years ago. This is the Tangents sheet (which I acquired for the Orion shuttle Pan Am logos which I needed for the Airfix kit) and it includes more properly sized "USAA" titles and the blue space administration logos for the left shoulders of the crewmembers. It is LONG OOP, so I am glad I didn't pitch the leftovers when I finished with the Orion way back when.

I can add a few things to the interior, but I think I'll just end up doing this one stock. I need something simple to get my head back into the building game. After that, it is back to the Moonraker and then on to other things.

I plan to build mine straight out of the box, it should be a nice counterpoint build to the 16 inch studio scale resin kit I built a couple of years ago, and as already mentioned it will not take up too much shelf space either.
