So how does it get organised? If we were going to put in $5 (Lets say US) then we could get someone with access to things like PE 12" gift sets or whatever to actually buy the prizes and have enough cash left for postage etc. One could send cheques, pay by paypal etc

It got a little quiet here regarding a new contest.

It's now more then 7 years since Breakaway - so your Engineers at Alpha must have come up with new ideas.

The last Pod contest was a real success time to have an other one ...

I think the issue really is more to do with getting sponsors to come up with prizes...or getting a pot together to allow the purchase of prizes.

Mark put an awful lot of effort in to the last competition to try to secure some prizes for the winners - even donating some of his own items I believe.

If anyone has any ideas on getting prizes sponsored and perhaps has the time to help organise it, I'm sure we'd be glad to hear from them...and then run another competition...

I don't think we need prizes for a contest!

I'm building models for fun and if I can show them in a contest, why not?

It's our hobby, isn't it?
