Default Aries1B Interior kit 1/48

Here is the pattern master that SRS and myself have been toiling over the past 6 months! The passenger floor follows the blueprints to the letter, but the cockpit - as some folk know-just can't fit as it was filmed and built. So, the rear end of the cockpit was foreshorted dramatically, and now sits directly on top of the elevator.
We had to make the cockpit 'look' correct as viewed thru the front window,
so, everything is in forced perspective.
There is plenty of room for a lighting kit. 5mm red leds would look perfect in the cockpit, while a chained of spotlights attached to the dome will light-up the passenger seating as it looked in the film.
The pics show the altered blueprint, and how it looks inside. It is only 2" deep! None of the very small parts are shown, but are in the kit. Such as the 4 flat panel TV's, the cockpit monitor, and hand controllers.
Now, the hard part to fill only 50 kit orders, i have to cast over 2000 pieces. But, i am confident to get them all done by january. so be patient please. I do this part time.

Forum master: if you can copy the images and paste them here, please do!!

That looks superb, Adam.

As you know, I'm certainly wanting one as I decided not to start the Aries until this was ready.

Looking forward to the kit!

Default Aries Interior

Adam's Aries is a wonderful kit...and mine is sitting waiting for that interior!

I must start saving for that big wheel Adam has announced.

Default Aries Interior

I've ordered the interior too. The photos of the passenger deck are impressive and I'm interested to see what Adam has done with the flight deck... I'm not sure if there will be some forced perspective.

I'm not a great fan of lighting models, but the interior begs to be seen so maybe I'll look at that.

I won't be building immediately, so will be interested to see here how others get on!

Yes, Adam specifically says it had to be accomplished using forced perspective.

As far as I can see though there is nothing in the kit above window level in the main cabin. No ceiling or detail on the walls.

Unfortunately a bit expensive for me at the moment.

Yes, he is using forced perspective for the flightdeck. I shall be using Paragrafix Easy LED to light it. As well as lighting it should be possible to replicate scale light fittings using this system.

My Aries interior kit landed today.

I have only had the briefest time to study the kit as I'm heading out the door very shortly. My initial and overriding impression is the sheer number of parts - it is most definitely a kit in its own right. The parts are all very crisply cast. The decals are a nice touch: including images for Tv screens (shots from 4 of Kubrick's most famous movies as well as the image depicted in the movie itself) the instructions for the Zero-G toilet are there and the displays for the control consul in the flight deck also and another sheet I have not identified yet.

Great stuff up to Adam's usual high standard.
