Default Thunderbirds Are Go - Deleted Scenes

Last week I found this trading card from Thunderbirds

Brains behind the camera in the middle of tracy villa.
I thought it was a picture for demonstration or promotion or some kind.

Two days ago I find this cover on "technodelic.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk"

Stating that the picture was from a cut scene of Thunderbirds Are Go.

There are also two behind-the-scenes picture of this shot.
One is in the "Filmed in Supermationation"-book, the other one is here.

I had no idea how this shot could fit in a deleted scene in the story of TB Are Go.

But then I found this blogpost:
http://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com...rbirds_19.html

There supposed to be a scene where Jeff gives a TV interview incognito from Tracy Island with the camera being operated by Brains. Telling the world that IR will escort the ZX launch.

Surprisingly enough I found a filmed shot in the Joe90 episode International Concerto.

There a more deleted scenes with Lady Penelope en Parker going to New York and the Glenn Field with the Fireflash and The Hood influencing Kyrano.

Now I'm wondering, are there pictures from these scenes saved or published on cards?

Well the original script had Jeff being interviewed by World TV. during the interview Jeff stated that International Rescue would NOT escort the Zero-X. International Rescue would only be involved if the crew were in danger. The Interviewer then drops his bombshell and reads out a letter from the World President, appealing directly to International Rescue.
At that point, we pick up the scene of Jeff reading his paper with the headline 'International Rescue - The World Waits'

I am simply amazed. The buildings have been a long time interest but that shot where the scene is being staged is just tremendous, thanks for the hard work and posting.

I like the mixture of different scale of cars to give the view of perpsective.
foreground cars are probably 1/25th. One of the cars look like a 65 Pontiac Grand Prix made by A.M.T. Couple of the background cars look like 1/48th scale Corgi Buick Rivieras.

Isn't that what's known as 'forced perspective'?

There are quite a few shots of the towers being wired up in various books (e.g the first edition of the Complete Gerry Anderson Episode Guide), but it's not that obvious what the model is. To get some idea of what scenes were deleted, it's worth trying to find the 1960s novelisation of the movie, as this is based on the original script. Other scenes that appear to have been filmed but then dropped, include the Hood in his temple and Lady Penelope and Parker aboard Fireflash.

Nice image M42 - not sure if I've seen that before. Or may be it's from a late TV21 cover ?

I'm pretty sure most of the cuts were made because the film was too long, and so far nobody seems to have found any of the deleted film footage.

Its from the TV21 Thunderbirds Spring Extra Special comic. Part of a collection of shots showing the Zero X being assembled at the start of the film, with this one supposed to be showing the rear wing just slowly rolling along for link-up.

Ah thanks - thought the reproduction looked a bit like TV21 newsprint ! Don't have that special though, which is probably why it was unfamiliar.

Wow! I always wondered what that photograph of Brains at the camera was about. Thanks for posting this!

Wouldn't it be something if the deleted scenes were uncovered, much like the Japanese linking footage for Stingray several years ago?

I'm curious to find out where you can read the original script? Is it sold anywhere?
