Would that Lindenberg Starfighter be used for all starfighter-based models?

Did I miss something? Have the correct decals been located?
I could sure use a scan of them.

No the original transfers have been located yet. I meant finding out the exact letters and numbers on the aircrafts.

picked another Lindberg f-104 starfighter kit up and I already had the aurora b-58 parts spare so this afternoon Ive built a Zombite
learning from the ASR jet I spent more time preparing the fuselage and getting a good fit, taking time comparing pics and going easier on the plastic weld too.
result means it wont need as much filling and is cleaner.
just need to make the rear circular part, its exactly 3 inches diameter so have been having a mooch round the cupboards for plastic bottles etc, only thing so far was a kids toy frying pan which im not allowed to cut up
Im going to make the base for this to sit on too.

Tobors site and info was a major help aswel

Mike Delamar - I get the tail ring to 84mm diameter - probably because my 'Mk 2' Zombite is using a 1/48 Hasegawa Starfighter.

mine was just a rough estimate, but when comparing to the screengrabs by blowing them up to the same size as the bits, thats what I got or very close allowing for angles etc. so I reckon they had some 3 inch tube that they made them from, or something from a kit or toy, only kit I could think would be the large vollmer tank which I dont know the size of, but I reckon itd be normal plastic tube anyway, easier if they had to make 3 of them quick

found a container that was the right diamater, it had cod liver capsules, just emptied them out, dont like them
the width worked out as 1/2" I didnt measure at first, but measuring it now it turned out that way, Id imagine the original brief would have just said, tail be 3" x 1/2"

also filled in the gap at the rear caused by cutting away the original tail, ready for priming now

certainly looks an odd aircraft with that tail

Well here goes, still haven't seen anyone finish one of these :-)

The aircraft build is as simple as it gets. Lindburg 1/48th F-104 with an engine from an Aurora B-58 and a 3" tube.

This is what I have currently for the base. Looking very close at the screen snaps, I think I have these pieces just about right. There's other details still needed.

Does anyone have the original issues? I'd love to get a scan of the decals.

Thanks John!!!
(I happen to find that late last night too) :-)
I sometimes forget to search ebay.co.uk, items that won't ship outside the UK don't show up on ebay.com

Primary build it done, added a couple of do-dads to the cockpit, but apart from that it's basic. Need to fill the seems and thin the edge of the blue 3" pipe a little. Should be in primer tomorrow.

Moving along a little each day (when I have time)
The red is a little dark I think, very tough to know from the episode.

Currently doing up the art for decals as I don't have the original issue, they just used the F-104 decals.
Might be on hold for a couple of weeks to get them to be printed.
