Default 12" Eagle Warp models finished

Dear All

I have enjoyed a lot all the tips and materials that I could find on this forum. It has helped me a lot to build my Warpmodels 12" eagle.
Now, she is finished.

If you are interested in, you are more than welcome to have a look here

http://telgarscifi.blogspot.com/sear...l/Space%201999
where you can find some pictures of WIP and final models. Sorry, it is full french, but pictures talk by themselves I guess.

It has been quite a tough model, not easy to build, involving a lot of thinkings.

My main concern was about gluing. I have used a bi-component glue, brandname Araldite, as it is very convenient for mix material like steel and resin.

THe most tedious work was the finishing of the parts. The resin quality is not the best, a bit too soft. And the sanding / finishing of metal parts was...a longterm activity

By the way, I am very happy with it. It is hudge and heavy when in the hand.
You can't see, but the Pod can be removed, so you can have the Eagle with no load. I plan to build some other accessories to be attached then to the Eagle, but not glued, Freighter pod, Nuclear waste pod, etc...

So thank you to all for all informations and tipped that I could find through all fan sites and in this forum.

Please enjoy the rest of the blog as well, I would be happy to answer questions if needed.

Great build mate, thanks for sharing....

That Warp kit is very very accurate, we recommend it if you are looking for a scale model of an Eagle.

Thank you very much for those comments.
I have added a post about the fitting of the removable Transport module if you are interested in keeping the same Eagle but to have several possible modules, here.

And for easier reading for modelers folks, I will from now put a English translation so I can share with non-french readers.

On the same page, I have a put a small Thanks to Joel Owens for his Decals
