This project was put on the back-burner whilst I took on paying CGI work. I've still got the model, and would now like to do a little more with it. I've not got any more free time now than I had then, but I've invested so much time already - I've got to finish.

I read this post by Shornak this morning, and thought it was time to get back in the saddle (or the pilots seat).

I started toying with building a pad and moonscape for the eagle a few months ago, so I'll post some pics of that here soon.

Cool! I look forward to see more of your wonderful work.

Thanks guys!.. I took a screenshot of where I am now - just trying to figure out how far I got with the build, and where to pick up again.

Once I've worked out how much of the scene I've got, I'll do some work-in-progress renders.

The eagle itself is finished as far as modelling - UV unwrapping, materials and texturing will need looking at - I'd say I'm about 30% done there.

Pics soon.

I added some 'scotchlite' windows and did a test render - raw stuff - no AO, textures or materials yet, but I'm getting back into it!

Lots more detail to add to the pad base and the lunar surface yet.

Very nice, Skiffy. I still would suggest that you make the position lights arround the cross a bit smaller. Since some time, I am also working on a bigger 3D setting, but I don't want to steal too much attention ....

I've re-watched a couple of episodes, and the lights vary in size but are noticably smaller than I have them. Thanks for that!

Looking forward to whatever you have in store!
