44" spine resin and carbon fibre

Hi Paul, I have had thoughts in the past about building an eagle spine - either 22" or 44" - using carbon fibre. Was never sure about making the joins though - don't know if there's an appropriate & reliable glue for carbon fibre. Hadn't thought about mixing it with resing pieces - seems like a good idea. Just wondering what your thoughts were on the viability of the CF spine & why you chose to go with brass instead?

Any info appreciated.

the resin and cf spine is strong and incredibly light and was very easy to build. the main reason for going with brass was that i have a heavy passenger pod and felt it needed a brass spine to take the weight of the pod. if i had a light pod i would have stuck with the resin spine. the spine is still available. open to offers.

Is that the chemiwood Passenger pod Paul??
How much does the Pod weigh?

I forgot to ask, is only the spine brass and the cages resin or carbon fiber or is it all brass??

Richard if i can just add,your acrylic passenger pod would have been fine for this spine,so would the legpods and walkways,as i have the cages/spine too. (all the parts you slod are very light

if its Pauls walkways/legpods and passenger pod,they would be a bit heavy for the carbon fibre spine/cages,but Chris Potter did manage it by bolting the pod to the walkways,to keep it all as one unit,this makes taking the pod off a bit of a pain.
