Hi Guys,
Just recently we had a commission for a Captain Scarlet build I thought you would all like to see. He is full studio scale and complete in his Spectrum uniform. He features posable hands and fingers, real leather boots and a leather clad hat, suede tunic, metal parts for his cap microphone and pistol. His face is simply amazing, just look at the subtle 5 o'clock shadow and those blue eyes. He is a fantastic replica right down to his eye lashes. His cap and pistol are works of art Enjoy. Hi Phil,
The much talented and very busy Phil Eason. I am sure I said so on the puppets thread shortcut to here, Donald never reads properly. He will be making the majority of our puppet commission work from now on I hope. The pictures don't do this justice either it is simply superb and I so wish this was mine..... Bernie. |

Great pics Bernie ! Phil is very talented and I recently found out (you guys no doubt know already) he has an extensive and impressive portfolio of film & TV work. Although very busy, he kindly took the time out to give me few pointers recently; nice guy.

Hi Guys,
The new owner wanted a display case, I had to oblige.... He wanted it to have a red base, after that I could please myself, so I did. This should fit any Scarlet Scale puppet, dimensions are 600 mm tall 200 mm square base, I can obviously make these any size (within reason) etched logos, artwork or text is optional and available separately as a plaque, contact Chris (Karr1981) for a quote. I can only supply this as a flat packed kit but they are really easy to build and if you use clear silicone it is very forgiving. The base is 10 mm thick with a 5 mm rebate to accept the lid, all parts are laser cut. I painted the logo that will be seen behind Captain Scarlet's head and left the one on the lower front see through (just etched). It would look good with the back panel painted in a solid colour too. The kit will have all the film protection left on as in the kit image below so if you wanted to paint the logo it will be straight forward. Kit parts as supplied: ![]() The lid fits into this, positive and secure. ![]() Add a nice Laser etched logo: ![]() The logo on the inside back was outlined in black to make it stand out. ![]() The etched logo to the front at the foot of the case was left transparent. ![]() I made a jig to hold two sides square whilst adding the silicone to aid in assembly. If you buy three or more of these cases, I will send you one free with your order. It is not absolutely required to assemble the cases but it is very handy. ![]() I am due to deliver this soon, hopefully I can get a photo of Scarlet in his new case. |

Bernie,
Don't suppose you know if your cases will fit the Sevans kits too? I have one of Scarlet and one of Black and would consider the cases dependant on size as Black will be holding his gun out. On a related note, the paint instructions with the Sevans kits don't seem to be right, they tell you to paint the gun barrel GOLD, and I seem to remeber it being silver, as you have done here and I have actually done mine. Name plaques and stuff are pretty easy, line art logos are the same. I can to a smaller extent add rastered images to cases but I think it's best to keep it simple. |
