Mike Mercury Puppet Head Sculpt

Hi, I`ve been working on the attached for ages, its a Mike Mercury puppet head sculpt. Never attempt a puppet head sculpt before, favour for a mate, gentle feedback appreciated;

I would love a complete set of puppet busts, I can't afford the whole puppet and don't have the space for them either (one day I will convince myself that's a valid excuse)

It looks great from where I'm sitting, Chris. The one problem I find with these things is to actually gauge the shape of the head that you usually just see under under all the hair......if that makes sense. I'd like to see more of this!

I`m pretty sure the shape of the head is correct, most of it is covered by a wig anyway!!

The most difficult thing with resculpting a head is that nothing is straight, unlike a vehicle replica. I tried to capture the character and didn`t get too hung up on mm accuracy, initially anyway....

Well I think you've done wonders so far, Chris. It's almost impossible to get 100% accurate resculpt, but capturing the essence is very important. I think you've done darn well near both! ONce it is wigged you'll get a better idea

anyone tell me what colour marina's eyes are thanks in fact what about doing a list of eye colour for each puppet maybe with pictures just an idea thanks fellas .steve

I bought them from a fella in the states whose dad died & he was the bloke who made them
I haver Beaker. & Popkiss too

I think this is the clossest resculp I have seen and I think I am in the best position to judge as one time owner of the original head sold at Phillips. Very good.

Did you sell to someone not in Britain ?
