Default Pathfinders trilogy on DVD

I had not heard of the Pathfinders in Space serials from 1960-61 until last week. It sounds like 3 of the 4 serials have been dug out of obscurity and put out on DVD late last year. As a classic Doctor Who fan it sounds like a great historical find, being created by Sidney Newman and (co-) written by Malcolm Hulke. Also the semi-related sequel serials Secret (and City) Under the Sea has come out on DVD last year as well.

I could not resist and have ordered both and am patiently awaiting them to fly over the pond to me.

Have any of you memories or anything to say about these serials?

There's some great history on the show from Andrew Pixley here.

Really? That many of you eh?

Well, I finally got the set and am almost done with the first serial. I think it's pretty good for what it is (early, inexpensive children's scifi television). I'll probably have more thoughts on it once I've watched the other two serials, but first off, am glad to have gotten and have a chance to see these bits of pre-Doctor Who history.
