Sad to see the NASA space shuttle fleet retired:

Atlantis to Kennedy Space Center Florida
Endeavour to California Science Center
Discovery to the Smithsonian Institution Washington, D.C.
replacing the Enterprise(test vehicle) that is going to N.Y.C. Intrepid museum.

I live next door to the airbase where the shuttled would touch down if the east cost was a no go at the time. I even had my car parked on the side of the road when the first one was first taken down to plant 52 where they di a lot of work of them.
