Hi Chaps
I just obtained a studio scale shado mobile in a bit of a sorry state. I've wanted one of these for years and NEVER thought i'd be lucky enoughto bag one, so I'm not bothered it needs a fair bit of work to bring it up to scratch. As a bonus with the model came a box containing another full set of wheels and tracks-as well as a spare drivers cab cast and a spare detailing kit! pretty good huh? |

Oh yeah forgot to say, the only detail bits that seem to be missing are the windscreen wipers, although there is a plastic bag supplied with some plaststruct ladders/grills etc-not sure if they are to do with it. What were the originals made from?

Okay thanks for that. Lets try another, does anyone know what model/toy parts were used on the studio models for the wipers?
Cheers, Wayne |

I would go slow on this,if i remember by my one in the attic that this mobile is undersized, and requires a fair bit of modding to get like the plans that JG did.
therefore the kitparts will look a bit odd in places,if i can remember the M1 gun wheel supplied with the kit is a lot smaller than a real kit part. there is detailing kits on ebay done by Uncle Bill, but some parts may not fit,i know Mamis supplied parts to suit the kit you have, including the inside of the cab over to you Mamis |

Thanks for the help & info guys, the kit came with cab interior, so not worried about detail for that, in fact the only detail parts missing (as far as I can tell) are the wipers-hence the ask. I'll prob scratch build cause of the scale issue.
The only other thing is, does anyone have decals, prints or clear images they could send me of the registration number plates and the yellow circle decal on the rear? As they are not included. Cheers, Wayne |

Print number plate photo at a width of 35mm and it should be close enough (but do a test first) The other photos might help you too?
