Ooooopps. My mistake. Firstly it's a Revell one, and secondly it's 1:96 not 1:72.

D'oh!

I scratch built one once that comes out at 1/90th scale and yep, quite big does describe it.

Ever since I went here --->

http://www.stevedix.de/SouthernUSA20...eflorida6.html

I've been wondering if I could sneak in with a can-opener and make a really large model of a Space:1999 Hawk.

Unfortunately, I had neither the luggage space, garage space or spousal permission, although changing circumstances mean the third is no longer a problem.

Hi Glazy,

I like all your re-designs for the Fed ships...
My fav is your Interceptor.

You asked about the EMA KW-12's, There are 21 on the Fed ships.
They are 29p each so that is £6.09 plus VAT is £7.31, then add a bit of P&P, so your nearly there, add a couple of lenghts of tubing and your well over £12.
Personally, if I were you, I'd buy more KW-12's because they are used on soooo many other different models and are very usefull.
I buy 50 or 100 at a time.

All the best,
Andy H.

Cheers for that info. I need some more plastic weld on top of the KW-12's anyway so that will bump my order up above £12 !!

Shame you didn't clean it up completely before you sprayed it. The part on the end of the nose has two very obvious ejector pin marks and a load of flash evident. The long strip of 'greeblies' in the top picture also looks like it could do with some filler just to even out the edge.

The rest of it, though, is really good. The amount of detail you have on there is perfect. Looking forward to seeing more of your build.

The reason I primed it was to highlight any parts that needed sanding or filling,it's often easier to spot things such as this once it's a uniform colour !! Cheers !!

While I'm waiting for my KW-12's to arrive for the Pursuit Ship, I've started an alternate Federation Hand Gun design, made mainly from various Vitamin and tablet bottles I've had in my junk box for ages !!

I've used super glue, but I've also drilled a hole on the base of each one and I'm running a rather long bolt that came of an old bed right down the middle of the gun and I've put a thick rubber washer at each end and a locking nut to keep the main 3 bottles together !

See, I would have expected the detail pieces to just pop right back off....
