Default Airfix kits ??

Hi all, I know from reading some threads that Airfix kits of the SRN 1 , Foot Bridge and Girder Bridge were all used on many studio models from Thunderbirds and other Anderson TV shows.

Where kits like the Mobile Crane and Engine shed also used?

The mobile (or Travelling) crane was used on a lot of models in Thunderbirds (as well as other series).

The antenna on the bottom of Thunderbird 5 is from the travelling crane (for example).

Not sure about the Engine Shed.

Thanks Dave, I'm trying to get an idea of which kits to keep an eye out for.

So far I have these on my list :

Girder Bridge - Airfix
SRN 1 - Airfix
Mobile Crane - Airfix
Foot Bridge - Airfix
B 58 Hustler - Aurora
F 104 Starfighter
Kamen Husky

There are a few lists of kits by subject:

http://www.eagletransporter.com/foru...ghlight=airfix

And we stock some of the re-issue kits in the store for just this purpose:

http://store.scifihardware.com/model-kits/

Most of the Airfix and Revell kits we stock were used as stock items in particular:
Airfix Saturn V, Lunar Lander, Saturn 1B, Scammel Tank Transporter and many others.

The most used Revell kit is the Gemini Capsule, it appears on everything from almost every series.

Lastly, Using several lists I wrote a search engine to find kits on ebay, I am currently updating what the Post Man looks for so bear with me:

Hope this helps.

Cheers Captain .. thanks for the links.

Just sorta' thinking out load at the moment. Not really thinking of tackling anything right now, but I do like to have some knowledge of these things in case they come up.

I need to rewrite the Post Man search bot software a bit, not just for the airfix kits but for the toys used also. Tiger Joe tanks for example and Merit toys is another.
