We love your FAB1 too!
And you even have two of them. This is anyhow the nicest version with the nicest wheels. Congratulations.

Oh those Takara Thunderbirds models... Beautiful.
I have to get one of these in November (my hotel is 15 minutes walk from Akihabara And that FAB1... ooh, the canopy doesn't go all the way to the back? Now that's fascinating... |

I thought I would join the FAB1 appreciation society with my collection of Lady Penelope's wheels. Including two different Lincoln ones, the Kelloggs mail away and a red Imai kit.

You've got me curious Plaston Kid: What are the differences between the Lincoln FAB1s? I only thought there was the one release, although there's speculation that the Kelloggs mail-away kit was reworked from the Lincoln vinyl kit.

It the second photo you can see that one of them has the switch on the left hand side and although you cannot see it, on the one above it the switch is on the rear.

Thanks for the info. I was only aware of the side-switch version which really intrudes on the aesthetics of the design. For some reason I really like the contour of this kit versus the Imai kit or Dinky toy.

Are they still available? I got one, but only because a man in a restaurant gave it to me (I still don't understand why!)

Not 100% sure if this counts but I just got one of the Matchbox Cooper-Jarrett lorries (as seen in many Thunderbirds episodes) from eBay for under a tenner.
No rear doors and they've lost the dummy axles, but for that price I'm happy. |

Here is my Cooper Jarrett lorry which arrived today... only looking at photos of this again did I realise it's missing an entire set of wheels!
![]() ![]() ![]() I'll be replacing the rear doors with scratchbuilt items (don't need to open). I won't bother with a light on the cab and I'll make up some logos for the trailers, but wholly in keeping with Thunderbirds. (I had a look online for decals but they are either too expensive for decals, or they are only selling one pair.) |

Okay, got MOST of the decals for the Cooper Jarrett lorry (just missing the ones from the front of the trailers).
Decided to put a more in-scale light on top of the cab, and try to figure out how to build a replacement bogie to connect the two trailers since I can't find a replica or original part ;( Oh, got the Joe 90 DVD box set... it's better than I remember it... and there is a LOT of death and destruction. Never augment a kid |

Konami Joe 90 Jet Car, Corgi Angel Interceptor/White Falcon set and a Matchbox size Spectrum Saloon.
Interceptor is okay, but I don't like the gold on the decals... it's like chrome! Falcon has a warped nose (hot water will sort that) and some black paint damage. The Spectrum Saloon is okay in shape, but needs new wheels, and the protruding screw-mounts on the chassis need sorting out. |

Mac's Jat Car turned up yesterday... and it's to 1/80 scale. This is handy as it matches the Japanese HO scale they use for model railway accessories, people and cars.
I also have Ed Bishop's autograph. I wrote to him when he was in a drama about Rabies. The signed photo he sent back was a BW one of him as Straker holding a rifle of some sort. |
