I have just recovered all my Ral Partha Battletech models and books from my mates house. I will take a couple of pictures and post them shortly.

looking forward to that, theres a great site dedicated to them at

http://www.lordsofthebattlefield.com...207d81ee07f658

i originally modeled off the lead figures, but more recently ive modeled from the 3d models that come with my online version of the game, so some of mine look radically different from the original designs

the loki for example

the elements are there the shoulder mounted SRM 6, the basic torso box shapes etc, but as you can see the game version is almost totally differnt

another shot showing the salt effects on the jungle varient.

in this case i applied the salt over the silvered chassis, then the lighter colour base, and then used a torn sponge to apply the darker contrast.
i finished with ground pastels black and dark brown.
thanks for the bluetack tip , i also use a paint on blue goo, that can be applied liquid and when dry can be cut , painted and peeled, also handy.

though to be honest ive hated masking since my first sat V rocket......
that puma in the blue and white was a nightmare , i much prefer freehand these days

looking forward to these figures

respect and regards
mike

what appears to be a pilot in the desert varient is just a trick of the light. though the cockpit does have a chair.

the "little man" has long been a feature of these pics, here he is again

Default Mechs at rest.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Ral Parth Battlemechs in their storage boxes. The pictures give you an idea of what I have in my collection.

The Clan Mechs are far better painted than the Inner Sphere Mechs which to be honest were very rushed, I had planned to strip and repaint them but I have so much other stuff to do I never got around to it, which I may or may not do in the future.

I will post some better pictures of the actual Mechs when I have a bit more time to take some pictures.

Picture 1, Clan Jade Falcon Battlemechs.
Picture 2, more Clan Jade Falcon Mechs, mainly Clan 2c varients, Clan Battle suits and Inner Sphere vehicles.
Picture 3, Inner Sphere Battlemechs.
